Increased police presence in Sarajevo, traffic diversions due to SFF

(Patria) - Sarajevo police informed the public that in the period from 08/12/2022 to 08/19/2022, during the 28th Sarajevo Film Festival, in accordance with their legal authorizations, in cooperation with other competent institutions and the organizer of this event, they are undertaking necessary measures and actions within their jurisdiction to ensure the safe holding of this year's festival events.

To this end, the Police Administration has prepared an Operational Plan that includes operational, physical, and traffic security for the SFF, and a sufficient number of uniformed and plainclothes police officers will be engaged for the planned activities, while ensuring the smooth conduct of regular duties and tasks within the jurisdiction of the Police Administration.

"In this regard, we take this opportunity to ask citizens and visitors of Sarajevo Canton for their understanding, as there will be traffic regime changes in the city center, at festival venues, and at film screening locations at certain times, with the recommendation to adjust their activities to the approved traffic changes.

We also draw attention to the obligation to respect all lawful instructions that citizens and visitors may receive from police officers," the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton announced.
