(Patria) - Kosovo's Minister of Internal Affairs Xelal Sveçla stated that increasing the police presence in the north of the country to ensure security is considered necessary.
He called on citizens to remain calm and cooperate with the police.
“The Kosovo Police has the mandate and duty to provide security, guarantee order and the rule of law. In recent days, following consecutive armed attacks on police officers and citizens in the north of the country, it is necessary to increase the police presence for the safety of all citizens.
According to the now official statement of the Kosovo Police, the presence of order police in the north of the country has been increased today. We ask all citizens to remain calm and cooperate with the Kosovo Police, which is committed to order and security for all citizens without any distinction,” Sveçla wrote on Facebook on Thursday evening.
