Watch the film about the reconstruction of the Maglaj library: One book – a million lives

The Maglaj Public Library lost 28,000 books in the floods, the entire inventory, floors, and furniture were destroyed, and after three months of reconstruction, they are opening their doors to the first users on August 20th, writes the BH News Agency Patria.

Within their capabilities, they continued the reconstruction, and many believe that this library is more beautiful than ever.

Founded on March 12, 1958, it celebrated its anniversary with a ceremony where a film about the reconstruction after the floods was shown. Numerous donations arrived from all sides, and besides books, furniture, shelves, ceramics, and floors were donated, and today it is completely renovated.

According to the library director Nina Salkić – Bunjevac, although not everyone was included in the film about the flood and library reconstruction period, everyone who was with us in any way "made it in" and remained in our hearts and the hearts of our users.

More than 30,000 books were donated through donation drives, and everyone helped, from students, other libraries, writers, publishers, associations, individuals, public figures...
