Bosnian couple killed, minor daughter taken to Makarska Health Center

Two people were killed in a serious traffic accident that occurred early Saturday in the wider Makarska area, it was learned from the police, Croatian media reported, citing the news agency Patria.

The deceased were a married couple, and their minor daughter was injured and received first aid at the Makarska Health Center, the Split police learned after the investigation was completed.

The accident happened around 5 AM in the village of Podaca near Makarska, where a passenger car with BiH license plates first hit a concrete wall and then went several meters below the road. The female passenger died at the scene of the accident due to the vehicle going off the road, while the driver showed signs of life, but he also died at the scene sometime later due to the severity of his injuries. 

The family from Bosnia and Herzegovina was heading for a vacation, and the accident most likely occurred when the driver fell asleep at the wheel.
