Indictment filed for planned murder

The BiH Prosecutor's Office has filed an indictment against Milenko Krsmanović, on suspicion of planning the murder of Sarajevo lawyer Muhidin Kapo, in order to prevent him from testifying against him.

Krsmanović is accused of obstructing justice during 2015 by planning Kapo's murder, in order to prevent him from testifying against him in a war crimes case.

According to the unconfirmed indictment, Krsmanović provided one person with information about Kapo's life, the places he frequented, and his vehicle, and made specific proposals on how to carry out the murder.

- During the conversation, he offered an illicit benefit in the form of money or a passenger motor vehicle for the execution of the agreement, specifically the murder of the lawyer, as well as the concealment of traces of the committed criminal offense, all before the date of the main hearing - it is stated in the Prosecutor's Office's statement.

In October last year, the trial against Krsmanović began before the Basic Court in East Sarajevo. The indictment charges him with beating a civilian of Bosniak nationality from the Rogatica area with a member of the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS) in July 1992 in the Pedište village area. While driving him to the police in Sokolac, as stated in the indictment, they took the civilian to a location with the intention of killing him, but they gave up on that.

The indictment has been forwarded to the BiH Court for confirmation.
