Indictment Filed Against Izudin Tahirović for the Murder of Mirza Raščić

The Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton filed an indictment on 07.07.2015 against I.T. (1989), on reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of murder under Article 166, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Law of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the criminal offense under Article 52 of the ZONDINOM, all in connection with Article 54 of the same Law, the Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton announced, as reported by the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The accused Izudin Tahirović is charged with firing several shots at Mirza Raščić on April 16, 2015, around 7:00 PM, in the premises of the FK Željezničar Fan Association, as a result of which the unfortunate young man soon died. Shortly after the murder, he was arrested and has been in custody since then.

- The accused I.T. (1989), without authorization from the competent authority, possessed a pistol, and with the intention of depriving M.R. of his life due to previously unresolved issues, entered the premises of the FK "Željezničar" Fan Association, knowing, because of the conflict that had occurred shortly before, that M.R. was in the association's premises, and who was also tasked with collecting money for the organized travel of FK "Željezničar" fans to an away match of the club, and from close range fired 4 shots from a firearm at M.R., one of which hit M.R., causing severe, life-threatening bodily injuries, and he died the same day at 7:35 PM in the premises of the KUM KCU Sarajevo.

The Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton proposed to the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo an extension of the custody measure against I.T.

MOTHER AND SISTER LEFT BEHIND

Mirza Raščić left behind a mother and a sister, and they have not been and will not be forgotten. Mirza's loyal friends and fans of the Blues visit them and will always be there for them.

The FK Željezničar Fan Association TM 1987, after the murder of Mirza Raščić, publicly issued a letter stating that this young man was the bright side of Bosnian reality.

- Mirza was always the first to organize the fan stand, the first to wave the flag, the first to pay for his away trips, the first to respond to humanitarian actions, the first to prepare his documents for traveling to Željo's matches abroad, a fan, like any other, who lit flares and paid the fines he received for doing so. He was the first smile of the South Stand, a participant in the Srebrenica March for Peace, a participant in the aid action for areas affected by last year's floods, and an activist in collecting aid for persons with special needs at the Home in Pazarić.

Our task is to preserve the name of Mirza Raščić as a shining example of today's man and to help his mother and sister in the best possible way.

Raščić was buried on April 18 at the Vlakovo cemetery, and his Manijaci lowered him into the grave.
