Indictment filed against Almir Džinić for terrorism

The Prosecutor of the Terrorism Section of the BiH Prosecutor's Office has filed an indictment against Almir Džinić, born on 12/02/1997, in Tešanj, a citizen of BiH, who is accused of having, together with his family, traveled to the territory of the Republic of Turkey at the end of 2013, with the intention of moving to the territory of Syria and Iraq and joining the paramilitary structures of the so-called "ISIL", which have been declared a terrorist organization by the UN Security Council, and participating in armed conflicts in that area, it was announced from the BiH Prosecutor's Office, reports Patria agency.

According to the collected evidence, the accused joined the armed formations of ISIL, where, as a member of the terrorist group, he participated in armed conflicts in the territory of Syria until July 2016, when he left the territory of Syria.

During the investigation, the BiH Prosecutor's Office and partner police and security agencies collected evidence of the accused's stay in ISIL structures in the territory of Syria.

The accused is charged with becoming a member of a terrorist group and committing the criminal offense of organizing a terrorist group under Article 202 of the Criminal Code.
