POLICE DATA In July, 228 drunk drivers and 157 without a driving license behind the wheel

(Patria) - During July 2022, police officers of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton controlled: 15,235 vehicles and drivers (407 less), 7,646 persons in vehicles, inspected 605 vehicles and 387 persons in vehicles.

Due to technical non-compliance, 45 vehicles were removed from traffic, 228 drivers were caught driving under the influence of alcohol, 400 persons without using a seatbelt, 157 drivers without a driving license, 42 drivers under a protective measure, 368 drivers were caught using a mobile phone while driving, and 146 vehicles participating in traffic without valid registration.

For violations of traffic safety regulations, 15,474 violation reports were issued to drivers and 236 requests for initiating misdemeanor proceedings were filed.

In the Sarajevo Canton area in July 2022, 708 traffic accidents were registered, of which 611 resulted in material damage and 97 resulted in injured persons. Two people died, and 114 were injured.
