Large cleanup operation begins in Ilidža municipality

(Patria) - A large cleanup operation in the Ilidža municipality will take place from May 30 to June 3.  

This is the result of a meeting between representatives of the Ministry of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection, the Municipality of Ilidža, KJKP Park, KJKP Rad, KJKP ViK, KJU for Protected Natural Areas Sarajevo, KJKP Pokop, KJKP GRAS, JP Ilidža and the Ilidža Fire Department.  

As the host of the meeting, the Mayor of Ilidža Municipality, Nermin Muzur, emphasized that the Municipality has made great efforts in the past period, especially through the work of JP Ilidža, to ensure that public areas in Ilidža are maximally maintained, with a special focus on green belts. 

- We are truly doing our best to maintain all public areas within the territory of the Ilidža municipality, without even considering whose jurisdiction it is. After all, they are all located within our local community, and their upkeep is what interests us the most - said the Mayor of Ilidža Municipality, Nermin Muzur, who thanked the competent ministry, which is leading the activities, for the coordination. 

The participants of the meeting agreed that jurisdictions often represent a problem, but they believe that a coordinated cleanup operation, like the one that will take place in Ilidža next week, will yield real results and be of great benefit and help to the citizens. 

The goal of the five-day major operation is to clean public areas in all 16 local communities of the Ilidža municipality by mowing grass, manual and mechanical cleaning of roads, cleaning illegal dumps, and washing containers and locations where they are located. 

According to the action plan agreed upon at the meeting, the cleaning in the local communities of the Ilidža municipality will take place according to the following schedule: 

Monday, May 30: Hrasnica I, Hrasnica II, Sokolović Kolonija 

Tuesday, May 31: Lužani, Butmir, Donji Kotorac 

Wednesday, June 1: Osjek, Rakovica, Blažuj, Vreoca, Vrelo Bosne 

Thursday, June 2: Otes, Stup, Stup II, Stupsko Brdo 

Friday, June 3: Ilidža Centar 

By adhering to the schedule, citizens will be able to dispose of bulky waste at already known locations, exclusively at the established locations for bulky waste disposal on the day when the cleanup operation is taking place in their respective local communities.
