Trial of Sven Alkalaj Begins: Former Foreign Minister Damaged Budget by 13,418.59 KM

The trial of Sven Alkalaj begins on Friday, September 18, who is charged with the criminal offense of negligent work in service, reports the Patria news agency.

Alkalaj, we recall, is the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The indictment states that as an official in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in his capacity as Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, he issued a decision on the payment of a monetary award to Ana Trišić Babić, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, for work in the NATO coordination team of the Council of Ministers of BiH, thereby knowingly violating the Decision of the Council of Ministers according to which monetary compensation does not belong to the head and deputy head of BiH institutions, thus causing damage to the budget of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the amount of 13,418.59 KM.
