The 25th Sarajevo Film Festival Begins

(Patria) - The celebration of film in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina begins tonight. Only a few hours remain until the start of the 25th Sarajevo Film Festival. More than 1,300 guests from the world of film, actors, directors, producers, as well as numerous media crews are expected to attend.

This year's festival brings the richest program to date. The Festival Square has been set up in front of the National Theatre, and the recognizable flags with the Sarajevo Film Festival logo are present in Festival Street.

The SFF will officially open tonight with the world premiere of the film "SIN" – by Bosnian director Ines Tanović, which will be screened at the National Theatre, as well as at the Raiffeisen Summer Cinema.

The film crew, led by the director of this work, will present the film to the audience at the Raiffeisen Summer Cinema.

Since tickets went on sale, there has been great interest from domestic and regional audiences for the films of this year's Sarajevo Film Festival. This year, given that it is a jubilee edition of the festival, interest in all film programs has increased.

A record 270 films will be screened in total, across 18 programs, from 56 countries. As many as 68 films will have their world premiere, and 12 their international premiere. The 25th Sarajevo Film Festival is held from August 16 to 23 under the auspices of UNESCO.
