SFF Begins: Bono, Amanpour... on the Red Carpet, First Film is the Premiere of Kiss the Future

(Patria) - Glamour and film have once again illuminated the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo, with glamour and the world's jet set.

The 29th edition of the Sarajevo Film Festival has begun.

The red carpet in front of the National Theatre Sarajevo welcomed its first guests tonight. Elma Tataragić, selector of the main competition program, said they are ready to start. - We have 235 films ahead of us, more than 70 premieres. We are excited and happy - said Tataragić.

On the red carpet were Bono and The Edge from the band U2 with their entourage, as surprise guests and part of the film's crew!

The U2 stars arrived at the 29th Sarajevo Film Festival accompanied by their wives Ali Hewson and Morleigh Stenberg, as well as model and activist Christy Turlington.

Christian Amanpour was also on the red carpet, along with local stars and representatives of social and political life.

The festival will be opened with the premiere of the film "Kiss the Future" directed by Nenad Čičin-Šain.

The screenplay for the film "Kiss the Future" is written by Nenad Čičin-Šain and Bill Carter (Miss Sarajevo). The producers of the film are Matt Damon and Ben Affleck for Pearl Street Films and Sarah Anthony for Good Wolves Production.

A total of 49 films will compete for the Heart of Sarajevo awards in the Competition Programs of the 29th Sarajevo Film Festival, and two gala and one special screening will also be held.

The recipient of the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo at the 29th Sarajevo Film Festival is American screenwriter, director and producer, Oscar winner Charlie Kaufman, and the award will be presented to him for his exceptional contribution to film art.
