Istanbul-Tuzla Air Route Launched: Turkish Minister Promises Aid for Affected Areas

(Patria) - Turkish low-cost airline "AJet" has launched its Istanbul - Tuzla route. With the first flight came a delegation from the airline, led by the Turkish relevant minister.

AJet CEO Kerem Sarp, in his address, first expressed condolences for the floods and landslides that hit Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- Today we are excited and proud. It has been more than six months since we launched our first flight as AJet from Istanbul to Tuzla. We have opened eight international destinations in the past week. One of these routes is from Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport, which brings us here today. We are proud that the steps we have taken have played a role in strengthening ties between countries, fostering friendship among people, and developing trade. Cooperation with Tuzla International Airport will not only strengthen the air connection between the two countries but also open doors to new economic, cultural, and tourism opportunities. As AJet, we have opened a second route in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We organize flights to Sarajevo 7 times a week. We will establish a new bridge between Istanbul and Bosnia and Herzegovina with flights to Tuzla - said the CEO of AJet.

Irfan Halilagić, Prime Minister of Tuzla Canton, emphasized that this is a significant development for the citizens and thanked everyone who helped establish this connection.

- Today we are especially happy because with this first flight, AJet is coming to Tuzla, and we believe this is the beginning of a long-term cooperation with this company. The establishment of this Tuzla - Istanbul route has proven to be more than justified, as a large number of passengers are more than interested in traveling in both directions. It is a special honor to be able to host and talk with the relevant minister of the Government of the Republic of Turkey - said Halilagić.

Abdulkadir Uralolu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey, expressed his satisfaction that he was present on the first flight of the youngest airline today.

- I convey greetings and salutations from Turkey. I express my condolences for the recent events of floods that have affected Bosnia and Herzegovina. We will be friends of Bosnia and Herzegovina in bad times and good. We know that our friends from Bosnia and Herzegovina sent their teams in February due to the earthquake in Turkey, and I thank you on this occasion. Our representatives are already on the ground, and we will provide all support to the affected areas. On this occasion, one year after the start of these events in Palestine, I express my gratitude and wish for this war to end as soon as possible.
