Procedure for appointing the BiH Commission for NATO Integration has begun

(Patria) - After months of effort, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina has managed to gather information from all competent state institutions regarding the names of proposed members for
the establishment of a new composition of the Commission for the NATO Integration Process of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In accordance with the procedures, the MFA BiH, as the holder of the task and the institution headed by the chairperson of this Commission, has sent requests to the competent ministries of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and
Herzegovina for the delivery of necessary opinions, so that the proposal for the decision on appointing the members of the Commission for the NATO Integration Process of BiH can then be forwarded to the agenda of the Council of Ministers session for adoption.

The MFA BiH expects the process of establishing the new composition of the Commission to proceed under an urgent procedure, considering the obligations undertaken by Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Reform Review document, and the fulfillment of partnership goals arising from the defined forms of cooperation between NATO and Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

"We also note that no additional financial resources are required for the implementation of this decision, meaning that the members of the Commission are not entitled to remuneration for their work in it, and the contribution of members and institutions is realized within the scope of regular activities for which funds have been secured in the budgets of each individual institution," the MFA announced.
