Action to remove abandoned and unregistered vehicles from public and parking areas begins

(Patria) - As part of the spring cleaning campaign, the removal of abandoned and unregistered vehicles from public and parking areas in Sarajevo Canton began this morning.

It is estimated that there are over 1,000 such vehicles in Sarajevo Canton, and as Prime Minister Edin Forto said, the action will last until all vehicles are removed.

Citizens can report abandoned vehicles located on public areas via the Viber number 062 002244.

This action, led by KJKP Rad in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, aims to improve the safety of all traffic participants, tidy up public areas, and solve a long-standing problem.

We remind you that the Law on Road Traffic Safety of BiH and the Law on Traffic Regulation in the Sarajevo Canton area prescribe a ban, as well as a penalty for abandoning such vehicles on public areas.

All owners of dilapidated unregistered vehicles are obliged to remove them at their own expense, by engaging a towing service and taking them to registered scrapyards.
