Spring cleaning and city beautification campaign launched

The spring cleaning and beautification campaign for Sarajevo, organized by the City, started today near At Mejdan. The Mayor of Sarajevo, Abdulah Skaka, emphasized that the City of Sarajevo initiated this campaign, so that the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina would be more beautiful, greener, and cleaner, and welcome its birthday bathed in cleanliness.

- It is planned that in the coming years, the City of Sarajevo will have a grant in its budget for co-financing cantonal companies, with the aim of maintaining the most beautiful appearance of our city - Skaka emphasized, adding that At Mejdan, as one of the most beautiful green areas that Sarajevo has, deserves to be renovated and new furniture installed.

The Minister of Communal Economy and Infrastructure of KS, Senad Hasanspahić, said that Sarajevo will welcome its holiday with cleaned green areas and washed streets, and that starting next year, this ministry will launch a cleaning campaign in March through a comprehensive plan, in order to welcome the summer period in a more organized manner, and in which citizens will also be included.
