Plenković: From March 1, café terraces and indoor training open

(Patria) - From March 1, terraces of catering establishments will open, and indoor training will also be allowed, announced Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković on Thursday.

Plenković stated at the government session that by all indicators the situation is better, but requires great caution.

“In order to continue being responsible in the way we protect citizens from the coronavirus epidemic, after a series of consultations with various departments, the intention is that from March 1, the work of catering establishments, in addition to what has been relaxed so far, will open on terraces and open spaces,” he said.

He announced that indoor training will also be allowed, with certain specifics regarding contact and team sports.

The government believes this is good given the circumstances, with prescribed epidemiological measures, and the National Civil Protection Headquarters will provide more details at its conference tomorrow.

Plenković announced that they will continue with appropriate monitoring of the economy and entrepreneurs, continue dialogue with business representatives, and will try to accommodate regarding job preservation measures. He believes this measure is appropriate for the circumstances we are in, and if the situation worsens, measures can be tightened, he said.
