(Patria) - Participating in the Munich Security Conference, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković said that in the process of peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, Europe should have a special envoy whom both Kyiv and Moscow would respect.
- What we have lacked in Ukraine in recent years is a person who would be respected by both Moscow and Kyiv, and who would have the support of Washington and European capitals, as well as other leaders, including the Global South, and who would have the authority to lead the peace process - said Plenković.
According to him, someone is needed who will be strong enough to manage these processes at the negotiating table.
Let us remind you, yesterday, the American envoy for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, stated that Europe will not have a place at the negotiating table to end the war in Ukraine.
In response to this, there was a call for an urgent summit of European leaders in France next week.
