(Patria) - Speaking about Croatia's request to participate in the EU mission Altea in BiH, which Joseph Borrell rejected citing the provisions of the Dayton Peace Agreement, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković stated yesterday that these reasons have been overcome today, and that there are no longer any obstacles to this.
This statement by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia and the President of the Croatian Democratic Union comes after a series of meetings that the newly elected Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmedin Konaković held with officials and lobbyists of the HDZ in Brussels.
Konaković held a series of meetings, which began with a meeting with European Commissioner for Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi, and continued with the European Parliament's rapporteur for BiH Paul Rangel, as well as HDZ MEP Željana Zovko and David McAllister, who is exceptionally close to her.
However, what is indicative is that the statement by the President of HDZ and Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković comes precisely after these meetings.
The question arises as to when the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Elmedin Konaković will react, and in what way, to the announcement by the Prime Minister of the neighboring country about an attempt at illegal entry of the Croatian army into Bosnia and Herzegovina.
