Plenković and Izetbegović held a closed-door meeting in Dubrovnik

(Patria) - Andrej Plenković, Prime Minister of Croatia, met tonight in Dubrovnik with Bakir Izetbegović, President of the SDA and Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at an informal working dinner behind closed doors.

The focus of the meeting was, according to Plenković's earlier announcements, the amendment of the election law in Bosnia and Herzegovina ahead of the upcoming elections.

Plenković told reporters in Dubrovnik before the meeting that the working meeting was a "continuation of the dialogue".

Izetbegović and Plenković last met in December in Sarajevo when the Croatian Prime Minister paid an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"The topic is, of course, Bosnia and Herzegovina, agreements between political parties, primarily institutions, key actors, on the reform of the election law, preparations for the elections, and a strong message of support for BiH regarding the position of the Government of the Republic of Croatia on its territorial integrity, sovereignty, and strengthening of good neighborly relations," Plenković said before the meeting with Izetbegović.

He announced that the focus would be on "seeking solutions within which Croats will also be an equal constituent people and on the situation in which the principle of legitimate representation will be reflected during the election of members of the Presidency from the territory of the Federation of BiH".

Plenković stated that this is "what we have been pointing out for years".
