Blue diesel: Farmers in BiH could soon fuel up with cheaper fuel

Farmers in the BiH entity of Republika Srpska have been able to fuel their agricultural machinery at more favorable prices for several years, so-called blue diesel, but these benefits could soon be available to farmers throughout BiH, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

The BiH Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, Mirko Šarović, spoke today with the entity ministers of agriculture, water management and forestry, Šemsudin Dedić from FBiH and Stevo Mirjanić from RS, about the benefits and incentives that the state must provide to BiH farmers to make their products more competitive on the market.

In addition to introducing so-called blue diesel, Šarović will also intensify negotiations with the European Union, so that EU borders will soon open for BiH farmers who can offer quality meat, poultry, and eggs to the local market, which would mean thousands of new jobs in agriculture for BiH, reports NAP.
