Plagiarism from China: Import of footwear worth 106,000 KM stopped

Officials of the Indirect Taxation Authority have stopped the import of footwear worth 106,000 KM due to suspicion of intellectual property rights violation, the UTA announced, writes Patria.

- During regular activities of controlling the movement of goods, officials of the Indirect Taxation Authority, Customs Post Sarajevo, discovered illegal trade of goods by an importer from Gradačac.

It concerned an import from Hungary, while the country of origin of the goods was China. The shipment contained 888 pairs of footwear worth 106,000 KM, which are the intellectual property of Adidas AG. Due to suspicion of intellectual property rights violation, these goods were temporarily seized - say the UTA.
