Drunk men fired Kalashnikov through Mercedes window while driving through Herzegovina

(Patria) - On Wednesday at 10:40 PM, the Čapljina Police Administration was informed that an unknown person in Šuškovo naselje was firing an automatic weapon into the air through the window of a grey Mercedes.

Shortly thereafter, gunfire was reported on Počitelj brdo, near the cemetery, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.

Upon learning that the perpetrators might be in one of the catering facilities in Modruč, police officers of PS/SP Čapljina found a grey Mercedes vehicle in front of the catering facility "Ivana" in Modrič, in which an automatic Kalashnikov rifle was found.

In the catering facility, M. K. (1993) from Šuškovo naselje was found, who admitted to driving the vehicle and that the automatic rifle was his. M. K. was tested for alcohol, which revealed an alcohol content of 2.57 percent.

In his company was P. Š. (2001) from Šuškovo naselje, who was also tested for alcohol and found to have 1.49 percent.

Items related to the criminal offense were confiscated with a receipt, and the individuals were arrested and detained. The competent prosecutor was informed, and all necessary measures were taken, the statement reads.
