This morning around 8:55 AM, an explosion occurred in a skyscraper in the Sarajevo settlement of Alipašino Polje, followed by a fire in the building in Alipašino Polje, writes Patria. The explosion was caused by a gas cylinder. Two elderly persons who were in the apartment where the explosion occurred died.
- At 8:55 AM, we received a report that an apartment was on fire at Geteova Street number 2. Five fire crews are on the scene, and excavation work is underway - they told Patria at the Sarajevo Fire Department.
Police and ambulance teams are on site. The ambulance transported one person to the hospital. Residents who inhaled smoke are being given oxygen.
