Five restaurateurs admitted tax fraud, prohibition measures requested

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Of the 12 people arrested in the "Kasa" operation, detention has been requested for two, and prohibition measures for the other suspects, confirmed by the Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office.

"The main suspects Ines Juretić and Oleg Krautblatt, former and current directors of the company Inspirit, are the individuals who rented the software program 'Inspirit gastro', which enabled the non-reporting of actual turnover to the Tax Administration. The prosecutor has proposed detention for them due to the risk of them fleeing, the risk that the suspects might influence witnesses or conceal evidence by remaining at liberty, and due to the risk of recidivism," the Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office announced.

The other suspects who used the services of the Inspirit company to evade taxes admitted to committing the offenses during questioning and agreed to cooperate with the Prosecutor's Office.

"Prohibition measures have been proposed for the suspected owners of the Metropolis establishments Nežad Rašidagić, Vatra Šaćir Čedić, Luka Željko Ljubas, Montana Nejra Ibrović, Kibe Edin Vreto, which include, among other things, a ban on managing businesses, a ban on meeting with suspects, witnesses, i.e., waiters, and a ban on approaching all establishments."

Suspect Bakir Hadžić, owner of the restaurant Una, has not yet reported to the Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office, after which further measures will be decided.

We remind you that five people were released to defend themselves from freedom, and the suspects are charged with the criminal offenses of tax evasion, abuse of position or authority, and computer forgery.
