FIVE TIMES MORE THAN CVIJANOVIĆ Dodik's budget increased, and a congratulatory message from Vučić arrived

(Patria) - The Government of Republika Srpska today, as a matter of urgency, determined the Draft Budget for the next year in the amount of 5.383 billion KM, which is 873 million more than the second rebalance of the RS budget for this year.

This proposal, among other things, increases the budget of the President of RS from this year's 10.8 million KM to as much as 56.5 million marks.

The most significant increase in the President's budget relates to expenditures for goods and services, which increased from 7.2 million KM to 52.6 million marks.

As seen from the document, instead of this year's 3.3 million KM for the support of humanitarian and socially beneficial actions and sponsorships, the President of RS received 20 million, while 30 million is foreseen for the project of support for the construction, adaptation, and equipping of facilities for children and youth, instead of this year's 956,500 KM.

The RS budget proposal states that planned expenditures for goods and services in 2023 amount to 190 million KM, which represents an increase of 55.1 million KM, or 40.8 percent, compared to the funds planned by the second rebalance of the budget for 2022.

"Expenditures for goods and services are planned in accordance with austerity policies and the limitation of unproductive spending, while ensuring that the functioning and work of budget users are not jeopardized when carrying out activities within their respective jurisdictions. The increase in this group of expenditures is largely the result of planning funds for the realization of the project of support for humanitarian and socially beneficial actions and sponsorships, and the project of support for the construction, adaptation, and equipping of facilities for children and youth, as well as an increase in expenditures for professional services," the proposal states.

We remind you that, according to the confirmed data from the Central Election Commission of BiH, the new president of RS is Milorad Dodik. 

Along with the budget increase, the long-awaited congratulatory message from Aleksandar Vučić to Milorad Dodik arrived on the occasion of his election as president of Republika Srpska.

"I am convinced that you will work with persistence and strong will to bring progress to Republika Srpska and prosperity to all its citizens. I am also convinced that with your political experience, you will responsibly face various challenges of today, while preserving peace and stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina," the statement reads.

The President of Serbia stated that "you can always count on the sincere friendship of Serbia, as well as on our selfless support and cooperation in nurturing political, cultural, economic, and spiritual ties.".
