
(Patria) - Five people on a Japanese coast guard plane died after their aircraft collided with a passenger plane today at Haneda Airport in Tokyo.
Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida confirmed to reporters live on TV that five of the six crew members died in the plane, which was supposed to deliver aid to people affected by yesterday's earthquake.

He expressed his condolences to those who died while trying to serve people in need in the Noto region, Ishikawa Prefecture.
All 379 people on the burning Japan Airlines plane were evacuated, the airline that owns the plane announced.

The footage, reported to have been taken at 5:47 PM local time (9:47 AM CET), shows the plane moving on the runway before an explosion occurred.

Then, flames are seen coming from the aircraft, which slows down as a result, reports Agence France-Presse.
