SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Minister of Defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina Marina Pendeš stated tonight that the eventual activation of the MAP (Membership Action Plan for NATO) would entail numerous reforms and obligations for BiH institutions, which would certainly take years, N1 reports.
At the presentation by the Ministry of Defence of BiH on fulfilling the conditions for the activation of the MAP for NATO country ambassadors in BiH, she explained that these reforms relate to the areas of human rights protection, judiciary, administration, and finance.
Pendeš emphasized that they presented the progress achieved by the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of BiH to the ambassadors and that it seemed to her that they had managed to clarify certain ambiguities that had existed so far in understanding the process of registering prospective military property.
- We agreed on certain upcoming activities and on timely information in the future to avoid possible misunderstandings - Pendeš said.
Martin Kačo, the Ambassador of Slovakia to BiH, which is the NATO contact country for BiH, said that the meeting was open and partner-like and thanked Minister Pendeš for the presentation.
