Patrushev: Talks on Ukraine should be held between Russia and the US

(Patria) - The resolution of the situation in Ukraine should be negotiated by Moscow and Washington without the involvement of other Western representatives, said Russian Presidential Aide Nikolay Patrushev in an interview with KP.RU, TASS reported.

- Speaking about concrete prospects for the further development of the situation considering the factor of (elected US President Donald) Trump, we respect his statements.

I propose that talks on Ukraine be held between Russia and the United States without the participation of other Western countries. We have nothing to discuss with London or Brussels.

The leadership of the European Union has long lost the right to speak on behalf of many of its member states, such as Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Romania, and some other European countries that are interested in stability in Europe and pursue a well-reasoned policy towards Russia - said Patrushev.
