Paris, London and Berlin call on Iran to return to the 2015 nuclear deal.

(Patria) - France, Great Britain and Germany have called on Iran to return to full compliance with the nuclear deal, after Tehran recently announced that it would no longer abide by its obligations under the agreement.

"Today our message is clear - we remain committed to the deal and its preservation. We call on Iran to lift all measures that are not in line with the agreement and remain ready for dialogue in order to preserve the stability of the region," the joint statement of the three European countries reads.

Iranian authorities announced on January 4 that they would no longer abide by their obligations under the agreement. The decision was made after Iranian General Qasem Soleimani was killed in a US airstrike in Baghdad.

Tensions between Washington and Tehran have increased since US President Donald Trump decided more than a year ago that the US would leave the 2015 international nuclear deal between Iran and six major powers.
