Palestinian Community: We are outraged by the misunderstanding, arrogance, and equating of victims and perpetrators

(Patria) - Regarding the text that appeared this morning in the news of Bosnian media outlets, concerning the death of Palestinian freedom fighter Ramadan Shalah, the Union of Palestinian Communities in Europe, the Association "Palestinian Community in BiH", and the Association "Bosnian-Palestinian Friendship" inform the public of the following:

"We are surprised that media in BiH, who know well what it is like to be victims of crime and genocide, so easily label as terrorists people who, despite being in a difficult situation themselves, have helped and supported BiH. We are outraged by such misunderstanding, arrogance, and the equating of victims and perpetrators.

The late Shalah was the Secretary-General of an organization that, along with other Palestinian organizations, fought and continues to fight for peace, freedom, and equality, and against Israeli occupation, violence, and crimes.

It is hypocritical to call Shalah the leader of a terrorist organization while ignoring the crimes and genocide that Palestinians have been suffering for years, both in the land of their fathers and in exile.

Ramadan Shalah was a fighter for freedom, peace, and a Palestinian state. His passing is premature and a great loss for the Palestinian people, whose struggle for a life worthy of a human being has been ongoing for decades," it was stated.
