Palestinians condemn US plan to displace half a million residents of Gaza

(Patria) - Palestinian authorities on Sunday strongly condemned a US consulting firm and a humanitarian organization backed by Israel for planning the forced displacement of Palestinians from the blockaded Gaza under the pretext of humanitarian aid, Anadolu reports.

According to the Financial Times, the US firm Boston Consulting Group (BCG) developed a financial model for a secret project named "Aurora," aimed at displacing more than half a million Palestinians from Gaza through so-called displacement packages financed by foreign institutions.

The British newspaper states that the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), established with support from the US and Israel, is the executor of this project.

Despite claims of engaging in humanitarian work, GHF's activities since May 27 have resulted in the deaths of 751 Palestinian civilians, injuries to 4,931 people, and the disappearance of 39 individuals.

More than 130 international humanitarian organizations have refused to cooperate with GHF, accusing the organization of concealing Israeli military objectives.

The newspaper also reveals secret funding and support from private US security companies behind BCG.

Specifically, BCG was initially hired by Orbis, a security contractor from the Washington area, to prepare a feasibility study for a new humanitarian operation. Orbis did so at the behest of the Tachlith Institute, an Israeli think tank.

– We condemn in the strongest possible terms these dangerous plans to liquidate the Palestinian struggle – the Gaza Government Media Office announced.

– Despite all the war crimes, starvation, genocide, and displacement, our great people remain firmly attached to their land and will not renounce their inalienable rights until the Israeli occupation of all Palestinian territories ends – the statement said.

Despite international calls for a ceasefire, Israel continues its genocidal war in Gaza, in which more than 57,400 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed since October 2023.

The International Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide charge before the International Court of Justice.
