Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the 'wisdom and understanding' of the US and Iran

(Patria) - Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who mediated the talks, said last night that the ceasefire takes effect immediately, agencies reported.

"With the utmost humility, I am pleased to announce that the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America, along with their allies, have agreed to an immediate ceasefire everywhere, including Lebanon and elsewhere, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY."

He invited delegations from the two countries to Islamabad on Friday, April 10, "to further negotiate a final agreement to resolve all disputes."

"Both sides have shown exceptional wisdom and understanding and have remained constructively engaged in advancing peace and stability," said the Pakistani Prime Minister.

"We sincerely hope that the 'Islamabad Talks' will succeed in achieving sustainable peace and we wish to share more good news in the coming days," he concluded.
