Pakistan is the cheapest country to live in

(Patria) - Pakistan has been declared the cheapest country to live in, according to data from The World of Statistics.

To check if this is truly the case, Josh Larkin from the "The Burnt Chip" YouTube channel traveled to its largest city, main seaport, and financial center - Karachi.

In Karachi, he exchanged one British pound, or about 1.2 euros, for 400 Pakistani rupees and tried to explore what he could buy with it in one day.

He recorded his experiences on camera and published the video on YouTube, where it has been viewed by more than 2.5 million people so far.

At the beginning of the day, Josh Larkin refreshed himself with the traditional Pakistani drink doodh soda - made from milk, sugar, ice, and a carbonated beverage - on the street for only 30 rupees.

For lunch, he ate biryani - a spiced dish made with rice, potatoes, and chicken - and drank a Pepsi for only about 30 cents, and for dinner, he enjoyed seafood skewers for which he spent a similar amount.

In Karachi, he tried camel riding, rode in a tuk-tuk, and watched a snake charmer's dance to the sound of flutes. He paid only three cents for a bus ticket.

Walking through Karachi, he discovered that renting an apartment in the city costs about 50 British pounds or about 60 euros, which is at least five to ten times cheaper than in most European cities, writes Punkufer.hr.
