(Patria) - Smartphone shipments within China in October fell by 27.2% year-on-year to 23.78 million phones, according to a report by the Chinese Academy of Information and Communication Technology.
The report, released today, indicates a decline in interest in purchasing smartphones in China, or a production slowdown, agencies assess. The real reason for the drastic drop was not stated.
In the period from January to October this year, smartphone shipments fell by 22% compared to the same period last year when 215 million units were sold.
