"Ovako" chicken on a market of over 300 million inhabitants

Bosnian meat industry, "Ovako" signed an agreement on March 19 with the company "Notion LTD" for the export of meat products to all countries of the Gulf and North Africa. The total value of the contract is 1.2 million US dollars. Arab partners showed the greatest interest in "Ovako" chicken, which was rated as extremely high quality and free of GMOs. In addition to "Ovako" chicken, which represents the primary interest of foreign partners, interest was also expressed in other halal meat products from the "Ovako" industry.

The very fact that another domestic producer has found a place on the shelves of foreign retail chains, and thus accessed a market of over 30 million inhabitants, is of great importance for the economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- It is extremely important, both for our company and for other BiH producers, to make a breakthrough in this extremely important market, given that due to the inaction of state administration, we do not have the opportunity to export to European Union countries. We sincerely hope that the authentic Bosnian taste will be approved by our new customers, and that our dishes will become a regular visitor to their homes - said the export manager of "Ovako" Tarik Mutevelić, reports the news agency Patria.

The director and owner of "Notion" LTD, Faisal Al-Haidar, said that he looks forward to cooperation with the strongest meat industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- The signed contract defines minimum quantities, and we sincerely hope that the quantities we will export will be much larger than planned - stated Al-Haidar.
