Open-air ice rink opened in Dobrinja, fun until the end of February

In the presence of numerous citizens from the municipality of Novi Grad and Sarajevo, an open-air ice rink was officially opened in the Dobrinja settlement on Friday evening, which will be available to citizens for the next two months, reports Patria News Agency.

In addition to representatives of the Municipality of Novi Grad, the official opening was attended by representatives of BH Telecom, the Municipal Council of Novi Grad, the BiH Hockey Federation, KJKP ZOI 84, as well as educational, cultural, and sports institutions.

After last year's successful skating season, the Municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo, in cooperation with BH Telecom, has enabled open-air skating this winter season as well.

The start of the skating season in Dobrinja was marked by the Mayor of the Municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo, Semir Efendić, who thanked the sponsors for supporting this project.

- We in the Municipality of Novi Grad strive to make life easier, more beautiful, and more enjoyable for the residents of this local community through the implementation of various projects, and I know that this ice rink is a special joy for children from Dobrinja, as well as from other parts of Novi Grad - said Efendić.

The ice rink will be open from 9 AM to 9 PM during January, and from 10 AM to 9 PM in February. The ticket price is 1 KM, and skates can be rented for the same price.

The Director of the Sarajevo Directorate of BH Telecom, Kemal Avdagić, expressed his satisfaction that this socially responsible company has been a partner of the Municipality of Novi Grad for the third year in a row in the "Open-air Ice Rink" project.

- There are many such marketing projects where BH Telecom, among other things, confirms its social responsibility, but we also love these projects the most, because we will primarily brighten the winter holidays for the children of Dobrinja, Novi Grad, and Sarajevo - said Avdagić.

He highlighted the very successful cooperation with the management of the Municipality of Novi Grad, which this year resulted in the completion of the fiber optic network in the settlements of Alipašino Polje, Mojmilo, and Saraj Polje, as well as the settlements of Ahatovići, Dobroševići, and Zabrđe, making the municipality of Novi Grad the first in BiH in terms of telecommunications infrastructure and readiness for BH Telecom's broadband services, primarily Moja TV and internet access.

Members of the hockey club "Vukovi" Stari Grad performed in the exhibition part of the program, as did participants of the ice hockey school organized by the BiH Hockey Federation, which will have an ice hall with stands at the Center for Education, Sport and Recreation – Safet Zajko, where ice hockey training and competitions will be held.
