The 22nd Sarajevo Film Festival was officially opened tonight at the National Theatre Sarajevo with a screening of the film Taxi Driver, starring Robert De Niro.
The famous actor arrived in Sarajevo today and is the biggest name of the 22nd edition of SFF.
Besides him, numerous prominent figures from domestic and regional cinematography, politics, sports, arts, and other spheres of public life appeared at tonight's ceremony and on the red carpet.
On the plateau in front of the National Theatre, hundreds of citizens welcomed De Niro and other guests, greeting them with loud applause.
A total of 222 films from 61 countries will be screened at the 22nd Sarajevo Film Festival in 18 different programs at seven locations in Sarajevo. The surprise film, according to the organizers, will attract great attention.
We remind you that the gala opening of this major film festival will be held at the Europa Hotel. De Niro will receive the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo for Lifetime Achievement tonight, an award being presented for the first time this year. This will happen at the Telemach Summer Cinema - Metalac.
