Details of the bloody attack in Paris revealed

French President Francois Hollande will hold an emergency meeting at the Elysée Palace on Thursday at 8 AM. Prime Minister Manuel Valls and several ministers and security chiefs are expected to attend, Le Figaro reports, according to the Patria News Agency.

Tonight, the chief prosecutor in Paris, François Molins, held a press conference at which he presented details of the attack on the weekly Charlie Hebdo.

'Two masked attackers entered the premises of the Charlie Hebdo newspaper at 11:30 AM and immediately killed one person in the lobby. They then went up to the second floor where the editorial meeting, the collegium, was being held. We believe the attackers knew the time and place of the meeting,' Molins said.

He described how the attackers opened fire, shouting 'Allahu Akbar' and 'we will avenge the prophet'.

The prosecutor said that 12 people were killed and 11 were injured, four of them seriously. Of the 12 killed, eight were journalists.
