Unveiling of Memorial for 23 Murdered Bosniaks in "Human Shield"

21 years ago, members of the Croatian Defence Council took 54 Bosniaks from Prozor from the camp in the Secondary School to the Crni Vrh area, tied them with wire into a "Human Shield", moving across Makljen towards the positions of the Army of BiH. 23 Bosniaks were killed, and the rest managed to escape into the forest, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

To this day, no one has been held accountable for this crime, and at noon, a memorial will be unveiled at the site of the suffering in memory of the murdered Bosniaks.

The Association of Former Prisoners of Prozor, together with the Association of Families of Martyrs of Prozor and the Alliance of Former Prisoners in BiH, is marking the anniversary of the suffering of former prisoners from the Municipality of Prozor. A column has set off towards the Crni Vrh execution site, and at 12:00 PM, representatives of the associations and the Alliance of Former Prisoners, as well as representatives of the families of the murdered and missing former prisoners, will address the attendees. A suitable religious program is also planned.
