We Reveal: How Dodik Lies to Russians About Halting Arms Sales to Ukraine

Milorad Dodik yesterday removed Boris Tučić from the position of Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, thus jeopardizing the export of weapons from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Ukraine by the Sarajevo company Unis Group, worth around 10 million KM.

Dodik justified this well-thought-out move by saying that he does not want to participate in the arming of Ukraine, which is currently in conflict with Russia, from which he has been announcing millions in investments and favorable loans for strengthening the economy of Republika Srpska for several years.

However, Dodik's story to the Russians is not even close to being honest.

Sources from the Ministry of Foreign Trade of Bosnia and Herzegovina explain to the Patria news agency that by removing Tučić from the ministerial position, Dodik, unknowingly, has actually opened the door for the export of BiH weapons to Ukraine.

- The export is currently jeopardized, but a solution for the export will be found. However, if Dodik had truly wanted to stop the export of these weapons to Ukraine, he would have kept Tučić in that position, who had numerous ways to stop the export, as he had done before. From keeping the file in his drawer to never giving his signature, without which export is not possible, says our source from the Ministry.

Besides, Minister Tučić is anyway in a technical mandate and will leave the head of this ministry in a few days, but Dodik is trying to sell these extensions to the Russians as well.      

Our sources, including those from SNSD itself, say that Dodik will boast in the coming days about how, for the sake of Russian interests, he withdrew his minister from this position because he did not want to participate in the arming of Ukraine, thereby deceiving the public in Republika Srpska as well as Russian envoys in BiH, writes Patria.

Dušanka Majkić has been preparing the ground for Tučić's resignation yesterday for days, making statements in public about the allegedly illegal sale of weapons from BiH, including to Ukraine.
