Fingerprints revealed attacker from Zovi Do village near Nevesinje is not from BiH

(Patria) - The autopsy of the attacker from the village of Zovi Do near Nevesinje has been completed, and it was determined, among other things, that he was killed by firearms, reports RTRs.

He is not a migrant. DNA analysis and ballistics examination of the found projectiles will also be conducted.

Although the prosecution's operational information was that the person blew himself up with a bomb, Dražen Damjanjuk, a forensic medicine specialist, says that the autopsy determined that it was multiple gunshot wounds and that, during the exchange of fire, instant, lethal death occurred.

The person is between 30 and 40 years old, 187 centimeters tall.

- It was thought he was a migrant, however, I believe he is a man from this region. Fingerprints were taken, dactyloscopy will be performed, and if he is in the CIP system, if he is a BiH citizen, that should be resolved - added Damjanjuk.

He points out that the identity can also be determined based on photographs - he is certainly not of Afro-Asian origin.

The gunshot wounds are multiple, thirty-three gunshot wounds. A few projectiles were found and will be sent to the KTC in Banja Luka - adds Damjanjuk.

The District Public Prosecutor's Office of Trebinje announced that the analysis of fingerprints and other checks did not determine that the person originates from the area of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- Checks carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska determined that the unidentified person who died in Zovi Do near Nevesinje does not originate from the area of BiH - confirmed Srđan Vukanović, spokesperson for the District Public Prosecutor's Office of Trebinje.

Data and DNA analysis of the unidentified person will be sent to the competent police agencies in the region and Europe in order to determine the identity.

Vukanović confirmed that items related to criminal theft were found in the house where the deceased man stayed.

- Further identity checks will be carried out through international police bodies - adds Vukanović.

The body of the deceased person will be taken over by the competent services and stored until identification.
