Revenge for brother: Passionate sailor and triple murderer from Split

(Patria) - A triple murder occurred in Split on Saturday in broad daylight.

In the very center of Split, in Šperun Street and Ramilović Street, there was a shooting with automatic weapons. Two men died at the scene, and a third died a little later in the hospital.

The murdered men were Marino Paić, Marin Boban, and Jurica Torlak, writes Index.hr.

Filip Zavadlav, who is a sailor, is suspected of their murder. Zavadlav allegedly killed the three men because they had been harassing his brother. He used a Kalashnikov in his rampage.

According to some information, the motive for the attack could be revenge. Namely, as Index learns, Zavadlav, or his immediate family, had previous problems with some of the murdered men. Allegedly, it was about debts and drugs. This led the killer's family, specifically one of his brothers, into conflict with those murdered yesterday. They allegedly came to the killer's family home and threatened them. The reason for this triple murder might be found here. Zavadlav allegedly planned to kill several other people he was looking for, but he did not find them.

It is unofficially learned that this is a family that lived in rather difficult conditions, and the young man who committed the triple murder had been at sea in recent years.

Zavadlav's Facebook profile has many photos of ships, emphasizing his love for seafaring.

One of the three murdered men, Jurica Torlak, was 38 years old. When he was 22, in 2004, he was accused of causing a traffic accident with a motorcycle in which an eight-year-old girl died.
