SARAJEVO, (Patria) - A state of siege prevailed today at Sarajevo International Airport and on certain sections through the capital, after Sava Marinković, one of the suspects in the murder of Sarajevo police officers Adis Šehović and Davor Vujinović in 2018, was extradited to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Marinković was transferred under heavy police escort to the Sarajevo Correctional Facility, after arriving in the capital on a flight from Germany.
Marinković will be placed in the most secure part of the Sarajevo Correctional Facility, and will also be brought before a prosecutor, where his identity will be established and he will be informed of the charges against him.
He has already been ordered into one-month detention.
An international warrant was issued for Marinković due to his alleged involvement in the murder of the two Sarajevo police officers.
