(Patria) - Police officers of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton today, under the supervision of the acting prosecutor of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, conducted an operational action "Porto" with the aim of clarifying and documenting criminal acts of robbery and grand larceny.
Searches were carried out at several locations, and items suspected to originate from the commission of criminal acts, as well as firearms, were found and seized.
Two men, 25-year-old A.H. and 24-year-old A.K., were deprived of their liberty.
During an attempt to deprive a third person, a 35-year-old man A.B., of his liberty in Alibega Firdusa Street – Novi Grad municipality, he attacked the authorized officials with lethal force, whereupon police officers of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton, in order to protect life, used firearms in accordance with legal regulations. No persons were injured in the incident.
The man A.B. left the scene, and a search has been launched for him.
