The press release states that last year the Tax Administration of RS submitted two reports to competent prosecutor's offices against responsible persons in two companies on suspicion of the criminal offense of abuse of official position or authority, causing damage to the RS budget in the amount of 173,776 KM.
"Reports for this criminal offense were filed against responsible persons in the companies Ltd. "Maltea" Gradiška and Ltd. "Business consultant Janić" Banja Luka," stated Maričić.
The press release further states that during that period, two reports were also submitted to the District Public Prosecutor's Office Banja Luka against responsible persons in "Uranak produkt" Ltd. Banja Luka, on suspicion of the criminal offense of violation of basic workers' rights, causing damage to the RS budget in the amount of 673,531 KM. Due to suspicion of the criminal offense of improper allocation of legal entity funds, causing damage to the RS budget in the amount of 107,725 KM, inspectors from the Department for Investigations and Intelligence Operations submitted a report last year against a responsible person in the company "PTM marketing" Ltd. Banja Luka.
"Comparing these data with the previous year, it can be concluded that the work of the investigators of the Tax Administration of RS from the Department for Investigations and Intelligence Operations was more intensive in 2020, as more reports were submitted to the competent prosecutor's offices, and consequently, greater damage to the budget of Republika Srpska was uncovered," stated Maričić.
Namely, in 2019, 27 reports were submitted to the competent prosecutor's offices against taxpayers on suspicion that they had damaged the RS budget by 3.3 million marks through criminal offenses.
"Observing these comparative indicators, it is evident that intensive work by the investigators of the Tax Administration of RS in the field continued last year, with the aim of uncovering criminal offenses. I hereby announce that our inspectors will continue intensive work this year as well, in accordance with legal authorizations, on uncovering criminal offenses in the area of taxes, the commission of which causes damage to the budget of Republika Srpska," said Goran Maričić, Director of the Tax Administration of Republika Srpska.
