SARAJevo, (Patria) - The Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton today concluded a plea agreement with defendants Dejan Ahmetović, Željko Sejdović, and Ahmed Sejdović, which the Municipal Court in Mostar accepted and issued a guilty first-instance verdict, finding defendants Dejan Ahmetović (1989), Željko Sejdović (1998), and Ahmed Sejdović (1995) guilty of the criminal offense of "Grievous Bodily Harm" under the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and sentenced them to six months in prison each.
The time spent in custody since March 16, 2020, has been included in the prison sentence for the defendants.
Furthermore, the Municipal Court in Mostar extended the pre-trial detention for all defendants, which will last until they are sent to serve their prison sentences, and for a maximum of nine months.
Namely, the indictment filed by the Prosecutor's Office accused the three defendants of entering the business premises where the victim O. T. was located on March 16 of this year, around 9:00 PM, in Mostarski bataljon street b.b., in Mostar. The first defendant, Dejan Ahmetović, kicked the glass on the entrance door of the said premises, breaking it, then unlocked the entrance door, after which all three entered the interior of the business premises. They then struck the victim with their fists and feet, using a metal knuckle duster, in the head and stomach area, as a result of which the victim sustained a grievous bodily injury in the form of a fractured lower jaw.
