
SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Founding Session of the Main Section of Electronics, Automation and Telecommunications Engineers was held on Tuesday at the Chamber of Engineers of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In addition to a large number of founding engineers, the session was attended by Erdal Trhulj, President of the Chamber of Engineers of FBiH, and Mirsad Jašarspahić, President of the Chamber of Commerce of FBiH.
After the Decision on the establishment of the section was adopted, the attending engineers adopted the Rules of Procedure of the section.
The session included the election of the section's leadership, whose task is to work over the next four years to improve all aspects of the work of electronics, automation, and telecommunications engineers.
Prof. Dr. Edvin Škaljo was elected President, while Mr. Igor Jurčić was elected Vice-President. Other members of the Executive Board are: Mr. Džemo Mustafić, Mr. Kemal Mrkonja, Mr. Nejra Dervišević, Hamzalija Karadža, Mr. Sanjin Čekić.
As befits this section and the current circumstances, the session was held electronically (on-line) in a democratic and constructive atmosphere.
This Section has a mission to promote the values and challenges of the engineering profession in the fields of electronics, automation, and telecommunications, all with the aim of creating an environment of a technological society at the service of humanity, relying on domestic forces.
In achieving this goal, the Section's leadership expects cooperation with other domestic and foreign sections, as well as with governmental and non-governmental organizations and companies.
