Officers of the Border Police Unit at Sarajevo Airport, on a flight from Istanbul, denied entry to eight citizens of the Republic of Turkey due to providing false information about their right to enter Bosnia and Herzegovina. The foreign nationals were returned to Istanbul on the next flight on October 4, reports the Patria News Agency.
On October 3, officers of this unit, during passport control on a flight to Geneva, discovered a forged Turkish travel document belonging to Turkish citizen K.S. (born 1994), with which she attempted to leave BiH.
The prosecutor of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office was informed of the incident, and according to their order, K.S. was arrested for attempting to cross the state border with a forged travel document. The Turkish citizen was handed over to the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office on October 4 for further proceedings, the BiH Border Police announced.
