Hostages freed in Paris: Attacker "lost his head" due to disappointment in love

It seems the latest hostage crisis in France had nothing to do with the massacre at the Charlie Hebdo magazine premises, as the attacker is a person who, disappointed in love, "lost his head" and spoke to the hostages about unhappy love, French media report.

Other sources said the man was speaking "incoherently", AFP reported.

He was armed with an automatic Kalashnikov rifle, a pistol, and bombs, while an armed forces helicopter was monitoring the area in the meantime.

A hostage attack occurred in a Paris suburb in the afternoon hours today, where an armed attacker held at least two people in a post office. The attacker surrendered to the police voluntarily, and fortunately, there were no injuries, and all hostages are safe.
